As part of the Black Friday deals the Barnes & Noble Nook Simple Touch eReader will sell for just $39. The device typically sells for $79, making it half the standard list price. The Nook Simple Touch isn’t the company’s most recent eReader, but it is still a good choice for those who are new to ebooks.

Barnes & Noble will also offer a discount on the Nook HD Android tablet on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. The Nook HD will sell for $79 as part of the Black Friday sale. The tablet normally starts at $129, so holiday shoppers will save $60 on the Android tablet.

Like the Nook Simple Touch, the Nook HD isn’t Barnes & Noble’s latest device, but it has many of the same features as newer Nook HD+. Both tablets are connected to Barnes & Noble’s media services so books, movies, and apps. The tablets also have access to the Google Play Store for every Android app available, which the Kindle Fire doesn’t.

Of course, Barnes & Noble will also offer discounts on accessories for all of its Nook devices.

The book retailer will also have discounts available for physical books. Barnes & Noble will offer 50 percent discounts on boxed sets of books for series such as “Game of Thrones” (“A Song of Ice and Fire”) and “Fifty Shades of Grey.” There’s also discounts on DVDs and Blu-ray discs including “House of Cards,” “Despicable Me,” and “Star Trek Into Darkness.”
