iOS 7.0.4 has arrived with plenty of new and existing issues from iOS 7.0.3, forcing many users to begin counting down the days until the iOS 7.1 download becomes available.
Reported issues with iOS 7.0.4 include:
-iPhone 5S, iPad Mini with Retina display reboots
-Wi-Fi connectivity issues
-Unresponsive touchscreens
-General lag complaints
-Increased battery drains
While iOS 7.0.4 is not a major upgrade, considering the issues many users were already facing, it doesn't appear that the latest download has been much of an improvement over previous versions. Have you experienced any issues with iOS 7.0.4? Let us know what problems you've faced since the download.
The Cupertino-based tech giant has released the iOS 7.1 beta version to developers, offering up the first major update since iOS 7 was unveiled. While the download will be aimed at pesky bugs, it will also offer a slew of new features.
Here's what you should find with your iOS 7.1 download:
-"Dark Keyboard" option: This virtual keyboard will allow users to see better in poorly-lit rooms and outside at night. The feature will be available in Settings > General > Accessibility.
-Notification Center update: The Notification Center will now tell users when they have "No Missed Notifications" or "No Notifications." This section is currently blank.
-New camera settings option: An "Upload Burst Photos" option will be integrated into iOS 7.1's photo stream. Burst photos allows users to rapidy take photos, which is useful for snapping shots of action events such as a sports game. These photos can later be transformed into an animation.
Several iOS 7.1 beta releases should be available in the coming weeks as developers sort out issues, according to Gotta Be Mobile. Then, a GM version will be released. The official update will not likely hit public iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches until 2014, however. Gotta Be Mobile also reports that iOS 7.1 beta 1 isn't set to expire until January 13th, 2014, meaning there should be a few months between the iOS 7.0.4 and 7.1 releases. The site also points out that an iOS 7.1 jailbreak should be released after the iOS 7.1 download becomes available to the public.
iOS 7.1 beta is now available for the following iOS devices: the iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 4S, iPad Air, third- and fourth-generation iPads, iPad 2, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad mini, and iPad mini with Retina Display.
