'The Vampire Diaries' Season 8 Spoilers: Sarah Salvatore Returns; Fans Not Happy?
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will see the return of Sarah Salvatore (Tristin Mays) to Mystic Falls.
Sarah is Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan's (Paul Wesley) only living relative so her return could leave a huge impact on the lives of the Salvatore brothers.
According to TV Line, Sarah was last seen in Mystic Falls in the finale of season 6 when Enzo (Michael Malarkey) advised her to leave town.
Unfortunately, Sarah wasn't compelled to forget any of the things that took place in Mystic Falls while she was there.
Now that she's back, the female character may be instrumental in helping Damon get out of the armory vault.
The publication is also speculating on the possibility of Sarah spending some quality time with Matt Donovan (Zach Roerig) in the upcoming episodes.
Meanwhile, fans are also sharing some storylines that they would love to see Sarah in.
One fan @Jal wrote, "Omg! I hope she's in Matt's storyline. It would be awesome if she and Matt ended up together and that she officially meets Stefan and Damon. Or maybe a love triangle between her, Bonnie and Enzo perhaps? Idk just excited she's coming back!!!"
Another fan @Mel wrote, "I doubt she'll have anything to do with pulling Damon out of the darkness. If anything, possessed Damon will probably try to kill her to finish the job he started all those years ago when he attacked her mother."
Some fans are also confused on why executive producer Julie Plec decided to bring back Sarah.
One fan @Anne from Green Gables wrote, "She was a useless character. What's the point in bringing her back?"
Another fan @Kendra wrote, "Why. Just why. Please don't."
@Sharon seconded the previous fans' comments, saying, "Exactly. She was so pointless. It was such a dumb storyline."
"The Vampire Diaries" season 8 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 21 at 8 p.m. ET.
