iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S4 Specs, Camera: How Will iPhone 5S, 6 Compare? [VIDEO]
The epic rivalry between the iPhone 5 and the Galaxy S4 is about to meet another contender: the iPhone 5S.
The Galaxy S4 is 5.39 inches in height, with a width of 2.7 inches. The display has a definition 4-inch screen with a 1,910 x 1,080 resolution. The screen is 14% heavier than the iPhone 5. Meanwhile, the iPhone 5 screen measures at 1,136 x 640 pixels, larger than its predecessors. The height of the Apple phone is 4.87 inches tall with a width of 2.31 inches. The iPhone 5 weighs in at 3.95 ounces.
The Galaxy S4 trumps the iPhone in terms of processor performance. The Galaxy S4 operates on a Qualcomm 1.9 GHz Quad Core Processor, with 2GB of RAM and a 600 processor. The iPhone 5 boasts a 1.3GHz A6 processor and 1GB of RAM.
The Galaxy S4's camera also poses a great challenge to the iPhone 5. The Galaxy S4 includes a "Zoom Ring," or a feature that allows the user to take photos during a phone call. As previously reported, the user can twist the camera from the base of the phone to activate an "in-call photo," and snap the shot and send it to the caller on the line.
According to The Register, the new Samsung Galaxy S4 beat out Apple's iPhone 5 in a speed test. The Galaxy S4 scored 91.6% better than the iPhone 5 on the test and 14% better than the number two phone, the HTC One.
The new Samsung Galaxy S4 camera interface is greatly improved. When you tap on the screen to change the settings, a new panel appears offering quick settings including Flash, HDR, Exposure, and front-facing camera.
How will the iPhone 5S compare to these devices?
As previously reported, sources have been suggesting that the iPhone 5S will debut in three colors: black, white, and champagne. However, recent images surfaced of a fourth, secret color: graphite gray. Sonny Dickinson posted images of iPhone 5S shells that he had obtained on his blog, suggesting that Apple's next device may be "gray or graphite with a black trim."
The iPhone 5S or 6 will feature an A7 quad core processor with 3GB of RAM, a larger screen display, and an 13-megapixel back camera and up to 128GB of internal storage. It also may feature a fingerprint sensor and a dual-flash camera.
