iPad Mini 2 Release Date, News, Rumors: Will Tablet Debut September 10th With iPhone 5S? [PHOTOS]
Several reports have emerged that Apple will be introducing its next generation iPad 5 and iPad Mini tablets at a September 10th event alongside the iPhone 5S.
Recently, Bloomberg had hinted that the new smart phones and tablets would be unveiled on the tenth of September. "The Cupertino, California-based company plans to introduce new versions of its phone and tablet at a Sept. 10 event," the article says, citing "a person familiar with the matter."
However, Jim Dalrymple responded to a Bloomberg story, writing "Nope. No iPads."
The release dates of the next-gen tablets have not yet been announced by Apple. Ahead of the official unveiling, photos recently leaked, revealing what consumers can expect.
The iPad Mini 2 is reported to have updated technology and designs, and run on the iOS 7 software. The Retina iPad Mini allegedly will surpass its predecessor's 1024 by 768 resolution at 163 pixels per inch. Rumors also surfaced that the iPad Mini 2 pixel density will be dramatically heightened, allowing for a higher-resolution tablet display.
According to iDigital Times, the iPad Mini 2 could get a camera upgrade. The iPad Mini 2 may potentially feature an upgraded rear camera to 8-megapixels.
Reports speculate that the iPad Mini 2 launch will coincide with the tablet release. Therefore, the Retina iPad Mini and iPad 5 could be unveiled in October, instead of September 10th with the iPhone 5S.
