Microsoft Surface Pro vs iPad 5: Pro Costs $250 Less, Is It Worth Purchasing? [VIDEO]

Microsoft announced the price cut of their tablet in July, placing it $250 under Apple's iPad 5 tablet.

Although the price comparison may be a jarring factor, the specifications also vary. As previously reported, The Surface Pro operates at 2.6GHz with a Dual-Core processor. The display runs on 1920 x 1080 megapixels, and contains a 42 W-h battery. The resolution measures at 1.2-megapixels for the front and back cameras. Other features include a full USB port and expendable storage.

According to the Latinos Post, the iPad has a screen size of 9.7 inches and 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. The tablet also uses a rear-facing and front-facing camera with 1.2 megapixels.

Microsoft recently announced that they generated $853 million from its Surface lineup sine first releasing the product line eight months ago, according to a 10-K form filled with the Securities and Exchanges commission.

Microsoft sold 900,000 tablets in the first quarter, and sales have dropped in the second quarter. Microsoft recently slashed their prices by as much as 30% due to their poor performance on the market.
