Building the hype for his upcoming album Nothing Was the Same, Drake has released a new track online today that takes on a Marvin Gaye vibe.

The Toronto rapper's song, "Hold On We're Going Home," features smooth vocals and a retro sound as he sings, "I want your hot love and emotion, endlessly."

Drake is currently recording his album in Gaye's old Hollywood studio, known as Marvin's Room, which was also the title of a song from his last album. The studio was where Gaye holed up to record his album Here, My Dear in 1976, a personal favorite and inspiration for Drake.

Drake has released several new songs in the past couple months, including "Starting From the Bottom," in February, "On My Way" and four others in June and the track "All Me" featuring Big Sean and 2 Chainz last week.

Last night Drake performed at the OVO Fest, where Kanye West joined him onstage for one of his first appearances since the birth of his daughter.
