Everything You Need To Know About The Upcoming 'Naruto Shippuden: UNS4'
"Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is soon to release, so here's everything you need to know about the game. For those looking to be surprised, it is recommended that you do not proceed, as the details below are spoilers.
The game's battle engine will include real-time damage. This means that you after a long, hard fight, characters will be bruised and rugged.
One of the storylines will allow players to divulge in the world of "Naruto" after the Fourth Shinobi War. Story mode will allow players to customize their characters. For example, you will be able to use Jiraiya in his Sannin Era Gear, and Orochimaru in his Akatsuki gear.
The game's story mode will also feature Kakashi and Obito teaming up to fight against Madara Uchiha. According to Naruto Shippuden BlogSpot, "Kakashi and Obito will also have a Combination Ultimate Jutsu in free battle that allows the two to bring the power of their single Mangekyo Sharingan's together and unleash a lightning-style attack across time and space."
"Ninja Storm 4" will feature climactic battles from the Shinobi World War. There will be characters from "The Last: Naruto the Movie," and "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" in the game as well. The upcoming game will have the biggest roster in the history of the franchise series.
In a DLC pack, "Ninja Storm 4" will include Naruto and Sasuke in traditional Chinese costumes. This DLC pack has only been confirmed for the Chinese version of the game, so it remains unknown if it will apply to copies in the West as well.
New features will allow players to switch between their party members seamlessly and also use the elements of their Jutsu to their advantage in battle.
Changing between party members will allow more freedom for players to change their fighting style and throw opponents off. Players will be able to jump in and out of the frame with their main characters and extend and complete combos. Players will even be able to switch between party members while in awakened mode. There is a cool-down period when switching characters so players will not be able to spam between characters.
The next interesting feature involving elements is perhaps the future of the Naruto games' combat system. In one instance, when a player uses a fire elemental Jutsu, their enemy will catch fire and receive burn damage. To remove the fire, they will have to move around at high speeds or jump into a puddle or river on the venue. This means that different Jutsu will have varying significances and players won't simply be able to block a fireball jutsu. It will be interesting to see what the game developers will do regarding the other jutsu.
For example, will they make it so that you slow down for a few seconds when hit by a water jutsu? Will lightning Jutsu paralyze you temporarily? Depending on how they execute this new feature, the game's fighting style will change drastically.
Also, players will be able to use their ultimate Jutsu even when in awakened mode.
"Ninja Storm 4" will be available Feb. 5th, 2015.
