'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Dr. Light Is Someone We Already Know [VIDEO]
Next week's episode of "The Flash," titled "The Darkness and the Light," will introduce Dr. Light, a female metahuman from Earth-Two who finds her way to Earth-One through one of the 52 breaches that connect the two worlds. Dr. Light's impending appearance on the show was first reported by TVLine in August, and though viewers have already seen the character in promo teasers, her identity has remained a mystery since then.
The show hasn't also announced the actress who is playing the role. Oddly enough, the official synopsis for the episode doesn't show an actor's name opposite the character's moniker. But thanks to an Australian trailer for the episode, we now know why the show has been keeping the identity of this new character under wraps.
As you can see in the video above, Dr. Light is none other than Linda Park (Malese Jow) -- Barry's (Grant Gustin) former fling and Iris' (Candice Patton) Central City Picture News colleague. While Barry, Iris and the rest of Team Flash have already come face to face with people from Earth-Two, Linda has totally no idea what's happening with the world since The Flash helped stop the singularity in the season 2 premiere, so seeing a doppelgänger of herself freaks her out.
Shockingly, unlike Atom Smasher (Adam Copeland) and Sand Demon (Kett Turton), it seems that Dr. Light does not travel all the way to Earth-One to kill The Flash. Rather, as seen in the trailer, Dr. Light makes her way to the Earth-One to kill Linda.
"What do you want from me?" Linda asks Dr. Light.
"Your life," replies the Earth-Two metahuman.

"The Darkness and the Light," airs on Tuesday, Nov. 3, at 8 p.m. on the CW. Below are the synopsis and the U.S. promo for the episode.
"Barry learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay [Teddy Sears] tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-Two and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom [voiced by Tony Todd]. Meanwhile, Barry and Patty [Shantel VanSanten] go out on a date."
