Microsoft Buys XboxOne.com, XboxOne.net
Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it had become the first console manufacture to ever own the matching domain name to its next generation machine.
According to Fusible, the gaming and computing giant bought the domain names XboxOne.com and XboxOne.net. No other console manufacturer currently owns a domain that reflects their next gen console.
To obtain the domains, Microsoft filed a dispute with the National Arbitration Forum back in late May. Previously, both XboxOne.com and XboxOne.net had been registered by a UK resident in late 2011.
In comparison, Nintendo recently lost a bid in their effort to buy WiiU.com and Sony has yet to try and buy-or complain about-the PlaySation4.com.
