According to a recent study, Krispy Kreme is the most addictive, craveable food chain out there.

The findings from Technomic showed the items that people consider "craveable items," meaning items they want and can only get at a certain restaurant.

WNCT.com reported that Krispy Kreme doughnuts are at the top of that list, followed by Coldstone Creamery and Auntie Anne's Pretzels.

Other chains on the list include Red Lobster and Zaxby's.

The study says, " the findings outlined in this paper reinforce the importance of menuing items that consumers don’t just want to eat, but absolutely can’t live without."

The purpose of the research, according to WNCT.com, was to show that "certain craveable items drive consumer satisfaction and repeat business."

The study suggests that people are more like to crave sweets more than any other type of food.
