Is Arnold Back? New 'Terminator' Trilogy Announced, Release Date, Plot Details
He said he'd be back.
But for years film fans have been left guessing whether Arnold Schwarzenegger would reprise his role as the Terminator in a new trilogy, officially announced Friday.
Paramount Pictures said the first of three new Terminator films will debut in June 2015 - but provided no final confirmation on who will direct or star in the film, BBC News reports.

But Arnold fans can rest easy. Earlier this month the former California governor said he would indeed return for at least one new Terminator movie, the Telegraph reports.
Speaking at an event in Sydney, Australia he said: "I'm very happy that the studios want me to be in Terminator 5 and to star as the Terminator, which we start shooting in January."
Schwarzenegger last donned the role in 2003's Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. He did not star in the franchise's most recent film, Terminator Salvation.
Plot details are scarce, but last week The Examiner revealed a possible plot synopsis from an unidentified insider source.
According to The Examiner the film could be set before the birth of series protagonist Sarah Connor to focus on her parents instead, and a Terminator may once again be sent back in time to assassinate an unknown target.
The new film will debut in a crowded lineup for summer 2015, which looks to include updates to other big franchises including Independence Day, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, Finding Nemo and The Avengers.
