Ready At Dawn CEO Inadvertently Hints Nintendo NX Game
Earlier today, it was reported by Gaming Bolt that Ready at Dawn would no longer be exclusive to Playstation. They have chosen instead to self-publish. This means that their games will become available for other platforms as well.
In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz, CEO of Ready at Dawn Paul Sams said, "We are platform agnostic at this point - just like most gamers. Further, our technology now supports multiplatform development. Since the release of The Order, we have been very hard at work to advance our engine and technology to a place where we can deliver our games on PC, Xbox One, PS4 and one other unannounced platform that you will soon find out about."
This other "unannounced platform" remains unknown, but speculators believe it may be the next Nintendo platform, codenamed the "NX". Although inadvertently announced, it is very exciting.
The fact that they are willing to involve themselves with Nintendo is a good sign for the fate of Nintendo's next console. The NX may be strong enough to compete with Xbox One and the PS4.
Some fans want graphics since Nintendo hasn't dedicated their consoles to graphics in many years. Still, Nintendo is the king of gameplay so perhaps their angle on graphics should not be changed. It is their niche, the realm of gameplay and E for everybody.
Many fans are hoping big that the next system's specs are revamped. It would mean that third party reps would be more willing to port their games through Nintendo. Bigger RAM, more gigabits for the video card and a better CPU are among a list of things fans want regarding the specs. Even 60fps would do.
Nintendo NX has to be on the same level as the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. Despite Nintendo's dominance through handheld consoles, they are lacking when it comes to competing with the PS4 and Xbox One.
