iPhone 6 Release Date Rumors: June Announcement? 3D Video, Curved Glass Concept Design [Video]
Could the iPhone 6 get a release date announcement in June? Best Buy has recently dropped their price for the iPhone 5 by $50, a move that suggests an Apple announcement could be coming from the company about a new iPhone at WWDC 2013 starting June 10. While its unlikely Apple would release the 6 with a short gap between the 5s, rumors do suggest Apple could be readying two new phones for consumers so a late 2013 release may be a possibility.
While little is known about the iPhone 6, the phone will likely feature a new look. A recent concept video shows a curved glass display, along with 3D cameras that would capture a dual image. Apple patents suggest that the tech giant is playing around with both of these features. The curved glass feature has been rumored to be one of the projects left behind by Steve Jobs, as the filing of the patent came shortly after his passing.
The concept video also shows a larger display and a metal design. The curved display on the rumored sixth-generation iPhone apparently features a 4.8-inch display, an upgrade from the 4-inch display of the iPhone 5. Other rumors include a display with 754 x 1296 resolution, two 2.8 Ghz quad core processors and a 2,800 mAh battery.
