Swiss company ÖKO has utilized NASA filtration technology to create an 'advanced filtration water bottle' that can turn sodas and cola into clear, colorless liquid (water), the manufacturers claim. Originally, NASA developed this bottle from super-light materials to ensure the drinker's every sip is 'pure, fresh and clean'.

ÖKO's water-filtering bottle comes in three sizes, six designer colors, and with three levels of filters, allowing for the exact type of filtration needed. The filters use ÖKO's patent-pending Upstream Valve that avoids any backwashed fluid from flowing back into the "unfiltered" water area for re-filtration.

The ÖKO Level-1 filter is carbon based and it effectively reduces the chlorine-present taste and odor while providing crisp and clean tap water.

The ÖKO Level-2 filter has more than 400 tiny pores and uses a positively charged electro-absorption process to trap harmful agents as water passes through it. NASA originally developed it for space stations and described it as "the state-of-the-art in water filtration technology".

The Level-3 filter, the designer designed and produced it on a customized basis and in large volume only for treatment of known elements in a given body of water in extreme environments.
