'The Following' Season 3 Spoilers: Premiere Date, Cast And Villain Revealed
Fox has officially unveiled the premiere date for season 3 of "The Following," as well as some the upcoming episodes' new cast members.
As reported by TV Guide, "The Following" will premiere on March 2, 2015 with a two-hour event. Episode 1 of the season will air at 8/7c, while all further episodes begin at 9.
Not much is known about the plot of the season at this time, but it's assumed that the series will pick up where season 2 left off. For those that forget, the infamous Joe Caroll has been arrested and taken to prison. Also, as the last major surviving member of Lily Gray's cult, Mark has been picked up and saved by an unknown driver.
To offer a little bit more insight on what the future of "The Following" might hold, Deadline and Entertainment Weekly reveal some of season 3's most prominent cast members. These include "Smallville's" Allison Mack, as well as "Almost Human's" Michael Ealy.
As for Mack, she'll reportedly play a small-town cop caught up in the heat of Ryan Hardy's hunt for cult killers. Interestingly enough, Mike Weston actor Shawn Ashmore previously shared a role on "Smallvile" alongside Mack.
Possibly more tantalizing is the fate of Ealy, who is been said to be featured as the "main villain" of season 3. The name of the character has not been revealed at the time of writing, but he is described as a "brilliant, chameleon-like killer who will push Ryan Hardy to the brink."
In that sense it seems that the battle lines of good and evil are slowly taking shape for "The Following's" upcoming episodes.
To reiterate, "The Following" will return to Fox on March 2 with a two-hour season premiere.
