A majority of Americans may be fascinated with Kim Kardashian's life, resulting in her being one of the most searched persons on Bing. But not many seem to have questions regarding the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" star as Kim failed to make it to Ask.com's most asked list.
The top slot goes to "Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, as the top trending question of 2012 was "Will Rob and Kristen get back together?" This question plagued many Twilight fans after Stewart was caught in an affair with married director of "Snow White and the Huntsman," Rupert Sanders.

Hurt by Stewart's momentary indiscretion, Pattinson was said to have maintained a distance with the "On the Road" actress, but since then the couple has rekindled their romance. Stewart and Pattinson have constantly been pictured spending intimate moments together, indicating their reconciliation was not a mere publicity stunt to promote "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2."
Meanwhile, Stewart and Pattinson are not the only celebrity couple to make it to the list. The Ask.com survey showed that Americans were skeptical about Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes wedding and therefore, the question "Was Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's marriage fake?" featured second on the list.
Also, with a flurry of engagements taking place in 2012, curiosity was piqued about who would get hitched first - Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie or Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston?
Valerie Combs, vice president communications for Ask.com, pointed out that these questions give an idea of what was trending in 2012. "With nearly half of the queries on Ask.com in the form of a full question, we get a snapshot of not only what captured consumers' attention, but also what piqued their curiosity."
Surprisingly, none of these American celebrity newsmakers were a match for Kate Middleton, who was voted 2012's favorite celebrity by a landslide. Almost half of U.S. adults surveyed said the Duchess of Cambridge topped their favorite celebrity newsmaker list.
