Kelly Osbourne Memorializes Joan Rivers With New Shoulder Tattoo (SEE PIC!)
Kelly Osbourne was notoriously close with late comedian Joan Rivers. And it's a relatively common practice to pay tribute to a lost loved one by getting a tattoo in their honor. So should we be all that surprised to hear that Kelly Osbourne has decided to follow suit? No. but don't worry, Kelly Osbourne's shoulder is not now plastered with a giant image of Rivers' face.
The E! Fashion Police star has been slowing removing some of her older tattoos over the past year, but that didn't stop her from adding on new ink in honor of the legendary comedian. Osbourne decided a delicate and sweet design of a bumblebee would be the perfect tribute.
She shared a photo of the new piece on Instagram, and captioned the photo with, "In honor of you @joanrivers... 'If you look at aerodynamics, at science the bumblebee should not be able to fly. Physically, it was just not anatomically equipped to soar. Yet it did, defying gravity, defying logic. The bee was a creature that defied and beat the odds,a miracle.' Thank you for being my Miracle @joanrivers."
Osbourne, daughter of famous rocker Ozzy Osbourne, got the tattoo from Mark Mahoney at the Shamrock Social Club.
Back in September, after news of Rivers' death broke, Osbourne posted on her Facebook wall, "I'm completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, she was and will always be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her."
Osbourne had known Rivers since she was a little girl. When she was just 6 years old, back in 1991, Osbourne appeared on the Joan Rivers Show with the rest of her famous family.
