Kim Kardashian loves to dress up and she is not a person to shy away from experimenting with her looks.

This was evident at Midori Halloween Party in NYC, where the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star turned up as the beautiful lady of the sea inspired from the movie Splash.

And unlike last year, when her husband Kris Humphries decided to stay away from Halloween celebrations, Kim wasn’t alone this time around. The reality star was accompanied by her rapper boyfriend, Kanye West, who decided to be her captain for the evening.

Kanye wore a sailor’s costume complete with a striped shirt, rolled up Khakis and a blazer. He teamed up the outfit with a pair of red shoes.

Before leaving for the event, Kim tweeted: “Me and my Captain! I’m off to the Midori Halloween Party in NYC! So excited! What do you think of my costume? I’ve always been fascinated with mermaids!”

Kim’s mermaid dress had a form fitting green tail, seashell top and a lot of pearls along with a blond wig. Kim is said to be so much in love with her blond locks that she tweeted asking if she should dye it for real.

“Kinda loving this blonde wig! Should I dye it for real?”

Meanwhile, on her decision to ditch her dark locks for the night, Kim told E!Online that she wanted to try something that wasn’t boring.

"It's Halloween, so I thought if I did my regular hair it would just be kind of boring," she said. "And I didn't want to do red hair, like Ariel, because I did red hair with Poison Ivy last year. I just thought it would be fun to do blonde."

Interestingly, the color of Kim’s last year’s costume was also green, as she seemed to have taken a conscious effort to keep the color of her outfit coordinated with the melon-flavoured liquor Midori, for which she has been a spokesperson since 2011.
