Taylor Swift is not new to heartaches. She has dated celebrities such as John Mayor, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner and with each breakup, she has bounced backed with another album that is an honest take on love and relationships.
And Swift’s fourth album, Red, is no different. "Red is really kind of diary entries of the last two years of my life," Swift told Reuters in a telephone interview.
"There were beginnings and ends and there were ups and downs, and lessons that I learned and then had to learn all over again the exact same way ... the ups and downs of the whole experience of falling in love and being let down and letting go and starting over," she said.

On choosing Red as the name of her album, Swift told Fashion and Style: "I just started thinking about this break-up I had gone through. I could see the different phases I went through in different colors, how my entire world turns dark blue [when] losing [the relationship]. Then you go through pining away and wishing it had worked out and trying to move on, and that's a grey color. You think, 'Why is this happening?' and 'Why am I missing something so much?'"
"Red is one of those colors that can be associated with the most positive of intense emotions, like passion and infatuation and affection and warmth. And it can also be associated with anger and jealousy and frustration and betrayal. It's a really interesting color to correlate with emotion because it's only the most intense ones."
Meanwhile, on the business front too, Red seems to be working for the six-time Grammy award winner who is currently dating Conor Kennedy.
Keds shoes recently announced its partnership with Swift and limited edition “Red” Keds Champion sneakers will be released to celebrate “Red” album. According to Keds, Swift “embodies the brand’s spirit, style and sensibility” and has been an “inspiration to millions and a shining example of what can happen when you set your mind to something,” Keds president Rick Blackshaw was quoted in the Boston Herald.
