(Adobe) Adobe and NBC team Release Mobile Apps for Olympics Live Streaming

Adobe Systems and NBC Sports have released two apps, allowing fans to stream Olympics games live on mobile devices, record footage for playback, and share the experience.

Two official apps, "NBC Olympics Live Extra" and "NBC Olympics," are available starting today on App stores and Google Play today for iPad, iPhone, and Android users.

The NBC Olympics app will offer highlights, schedules, columns, and a "Primetime Companion" feature that will augment the games as viewers watch on their TV. NBC Olympics also used Adobe Pass, the company's "TV Everywhere" authentication service, to allow cable and satellite customers to easily log-in to access the live streaming content.

The apps will be a nice addition to the Olympics' other interactive experiences for this year's event, including the torch map <http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-57444849-1/torch-tracking-map-humanizes-spectacle-of-olympics/> and a social portal linking athletes and fans.
