Australian actress Naomi Watts is cast to play as Princess Diana in a film about Britain's most beloved princess. And as new pictures from the film emerge, it is certainly noticeable of the striking resemblance of the actress and the Princess.

The actress Naomi Watts bears striking resemblance to the late Princess Diana as seen on the recent snaps from the film's shooting. The movie will focus on the final years of Diana's life which will cover her relationships and her death.

The 43-year-old actress who is six years older than the Princess when she died in a car crash admitted that she is "terrified" to play the role of such an iconic figure.

The title of the movie which is directed by German Oliver Hirschbiegel was originally "Caught in Flight" but now has changed to "Diana." The film follows the life of the controversial Princess and her relationship with heart surgeon Dr. Hasnat Khan which is played by actor Naveen Andrews.

The film will also include her relationship with Dodi Fayed played by Cas Anvar, who she was with when she died in car crash in a Paris tunnel back in 1997. And while Naomi was first hesitant to take the role, she has truly captured Diana's grace, elegance and doe-eyed look.

Producers of the film have been very careful to not exactly replicate Princess Diana's wardrobe. But instead, they came up with costumes that resembled that of the late Princess.
