The much-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S III will hit the market as early as June 21 on some of the carriers in the United States, and unlike other Android-based smart phones, Galaxy S III will have identical brand and design across different carriers.

Samsung, a Korea-based tech giant, has signed a major deal in the United States, making its Galaxy S III available in five different carriers. Sprint and T-Mobile will start selling the device on June 21, and AT&T, Verizon, and U.S. Cellular will follow in the coming month.

For the past two years, Samsung and its Galaxy S series earned a reputation in the smart phone market, now becoming the second most popular models after Apple's iPhone.

The battle between iOS-equipped Apple iPhone's and other Android-based phones have always existed, and people expect Galaxy S III to be the biggest attempt to challenge Apple's reign to this date.

One of the reasons behind people's expectation on Galaxy S III's success is its identical brand and design across different carriers. Unlike Apple, whose iPhone models had exactly the same brand and design across AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint, other Android-based phone had to modify, at least slightly, about the brand and/or the design.

But for Samsung Galaxy S III, both the brand and design will remain same. This is a big change that other Android-based phones did not accomplish for a long time.

Having identical brand and design is helpful in many ways.

For instance, Samsung's Galaxy S-series will start building reputation in itself. Also, the marketing will have a boost with more products with the same brand and design. Accessories developers will also have an easier time, since they don't have to make different smart phone cases for different carrier versions of the same product.

Samsung's Galaxy S III, coming out in few weeks, has a 4.8-inch screen with 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED display. The company's TouchWiz interface skin will enhance the user experience. The phone will be equipped with powerful Snapdragon S4 processor with two cores at 1.5 GHz each and 2GB or ram, and come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The back and front cameras have 8- and 2-megapixle, capable of recording 1080p/720p HD video. The phone also supports 4G LTE and HSPA+.
