According to the publication's source, fans of the comic book hero should anticipate not one, but two classic costumes for Batfleck in the "Man of Steel" sequel:
“The more interesting thing I’ve heard is that Batman will actually wear 2 batsuits in the film, but where as Grey-and-Blue has already been designed and Affleck has worn it, the second Batsuit is more armored like the one in the Dark Knight Returns and Kingdom Come comics.”
The website's source also added:
“The plating is silver/white. The plates are attached to a black undercloth. The plates doesn't cover his entire body. We see the black undercloth at the joints. Supposedly, it looks incredible. Equally, or maybe even better-looking than the other suit and it's leagues above and beyond Bale's suit from what I'm told.”
A source also recently informed Batman-On-Film that Batfleck's costume is a bit different than you might have thought from the shot (above) director Zack Snyder offered up to Twitter a couple months ago:
"[The suit is] steel grey and black. It's mostly made of foam rubber even though it appears to be 'cloth.' It has the muscles built into the suit (which I think is supposed to be "armor" under the 'cloth' bodysuit."
The comments seem to be similar to those made by Kevin Smith following the suit's reveal:
"As you may remember, I saw a photo of the Batsuit many months ago, and many people asked online, 'Is that the picture you saw?' No, that is a very cool picture, but that is not the picture I saw," Smith said on Hollywood Babble-On.
He continued with a description of the photo: "They put it on a fake rooftop, and they lit it up. But it was in color, and you could see every piece of detail. So I've seen some people online go, 'Why is this f***ing suit any different than the Chris Nolan Batsuit, it's all one f***ing color.' It's like, 'Dude, that's a monochrome photo. You know what that means, one chrome."
"That's not a representation of what the suit looks like," continued Smith. "So what the suit looks like, and I was always kind of keeping it quiet until they revealed it, but they've revealed it. And you can kind of see, and anybody that...you've seen some people take the picture and color it online. If you want to see what this f***ing suit looks like, you just go to Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns, go to the third book, Hunt the Dark Knight...it's the exact f***ing outfit he's wearing. That's why I hugged that guy all those months ago."
"Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" will hit theaters May 6, 2016 with stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Affleck as Batman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor. Supporting actors that have joined the cast include Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Jeremy Irons (Alfred Pennyworth), Laurence Fishburne (Perry White), Diane Lane (Martha Kent), Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto, Scoot McNairy and Callan Mulvey.
