Here are the top features of Galaxy S3 explained in detail.
Samsung is taking the competition to next level. Next to Samsung Galaxy Note, Galaxy S3 is the second biggest smartphone in terms of screen size. It sports a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display with a resolution of 720 X 1280 pixels. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
S Voice is already featured in Galaxy S2. But in the new flagship model, S Voice has undergone a major update. It is as clever as Siri now, allowing you to take control of the phone without touching it. S Voice can call or text someone, search information, play songs, change volume, snooze alarms, take pictures, open apps and do a lot more cool stuff.
Thanks to Near Field Communication (NFC) chips, Galaxy S3 users can now share files faster than traditional methods between two NFC-enabled Samsung smartphones. A 5MB file gets transferred within one second of establishing the connection, while a movie file of size 1GB will take less than three minutes to transfer through S Beam.
Zero Shutter Lag
The 8-megapixel snapper captures images instantly. A new shooting mode - Burst Mode - has been added to camera UI of Galaxy S3, which can take a large amount of photos within one second. Users can capture up to 20 continuous shots with zero shutter lag speed. Out of these 20 pictures, the best shot is selected and saved in the memory. Even in normal mode, Galaxy S3's camera can take 3 pictures per second.
50GB Dropbox Storage
Samsung is in talks with Dropbox to offers 50GB of free online storage to Galaxy S3 users. The talks are in final stage and Samsung has confirmed to roll out the feature from next month.
Rendering the video in small thumbnail, Pop-up Play feature will allow users to play videos simultaneously, while running other apps. Users can play a video while surfing internet or checking e-mail. The small video can be dragged and moved anywhere on the big screen.
Smart Stay is an innovative software feature that aims to enhance user interaction experience by using front-facing camera to read facial gestures and adjust the screen settings as necessary to tweak user experience.
