Steven Holl Architects will unveil the new design for the Institute for Contemporary Art at Virginia Commonwealth University with a small exhibition of 33 study models and concept drawings. The exhibition, which illustrates the design evolution of the project, will open at Meulensteen gallery on April 26.

The 32,000 square-foot gallery will provide spaces for traveling, school exhibits, classrooms, offices, art storage spaces, an auditorium, a sculpture garden, and a café.

"We are honored to have Steven Holl, internationally recognized as one the most inspired and significant architects of our time," commented Joseph H. Seipel, Dean of the VCU School of the Arts.
