On Wednesday Google unveiled for the first time a sample of the “Project Glass”, a  reality eyeglasses with Google services on hand at all times. According to a video the company posted on Google+ the glasses have the capability to display messages, chats, appointments, weather and maps.

In the post shared on Google Plus, the Google X team, the company laboratory who developed the project said, “We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input, please follow along as we share some of our ideas and stories. We’d love to hear yours, too. What would you like to see from Project Glass?”.

The prototype version of Google is shown in pictures on the Project Glass page. People modeling the spectacles look very fashionable with a very polished and well-designed pair of glasses with a small screen above their right eye.

Through voice commands, the glasses can send information to the lenses and allow the user to send and receive messages. They include a built-in camera to record video and take pictures.
