Stefan Sagmeister a graphic designer who uses typography in an imaginative ways, usually tries the limits between design and art.
The Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA) from April 4th to August 12th, 2012 will hold an exhibition that will occupy the whole second-floor galleries and Ramp named “The Happy Show” by Sagmeister.

The show will offer the assistants the chance to experience the designer’s attempt to increase his happiness through different ways like mediation, cognitive therapy, and drugs.
In the exhibition, the designer presents a ten-year of exploration of happiness. Sagmeister says that he is usually rather bored with definitions. He mentions, "Happiness, however, is just such a big subject that it might be worth a try to pin it down."
Stefan Sagmeister was born in Bregenz, Austria and lives New York. Sagmeister is well known for the creation of album covers for Talking Heads, Lou Reed, OK Go, and The Rolling Stones, and has worked for important brads like Levis influencing the culture over the past 10 years.
The Happy Show will travel to the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles in winter 2013.
