'Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron' Star Mark Ruffalo Shares New Hulk Look In Photos From Set
Mark Ruffalo is back at it with some interesting shots from the set of the "Avengers" sequel, showing off a look at how the Hulk star is preparing for the character in the upcoming film.
The facial effects shot follows the actor's recent update that he is working with CGI expert Andy Serkis on bringing "the big green boy" to life.
In response to a fan's question, Ruffalo recently tweeted "@Captaian_jack Well, I have been working with the great @andyserkis on the big green boy and he is going to be even better then A1."
Serkis, who was revealed earlier this week to be part of the "Star Wars Episode VII" cast, is certainly the right person to help Ruffalo perfect his performance as the Hulk. As Digital Spy notes, he recently worked as a consultant for the upcoming "Godzilla" reboot and will reprise his role as Caesar in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes."
Ruffalo should be able to put Serkis' pointers to use for a few years, too.
As Cinema Blend reports, actor Lou Ferrigno, who played the big green guy in the "Incredible Hulk" television show, recently spilled the beans on an upcoming solo Hulk movie while appearing as a guest on a Minnesota radio show. According to Ferrigno, the Hulk would be "the star of the movie" and that "because he saved the day they're making another solo Hulk movie after the second Avengers comes out."
As the website notes, with Ferrigno a possibility to provide the voice of the Hulk for "Avengers: Age of Ultron" (as he has done in the past), it is possible that Marvel Studios shared their plans with him. However, it does seem strange that he would let loose such big news on a local radio show. Furthermore, as Screen Rant notes, Ferrigno made a similar claim five months ago and while Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige added that it would be an exciting idea, he denied that it was a project currently in the works. The website speculates, however, that with phase three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe featuring "Age of Ultron," "Ant-Man," "Captain America 3," "Avengers 3" and possibly "Doctor Strange," the solo Hulk film could be part of phase four.
"Avengers: Age of Ultron" stars Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow). Other actors featured in the film include Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlet Witch), Paul Bettany (The Vision), Samuel L Jackson (Nick Fury) and James Spader (Ultron). The film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 1, 2015.
