Kurt Perschke's Redball Project

The RedBall Project
(http://redballproject.com) It is a traveling public art project.

 

The New York sculpture artist Kurt Persche brings an interesting project called “Redball”. The project consists in a three hundred fifty pound-fifteen feet high red balloon smashed into the urban arquitecture in order to embellish the environment and create an interaction between people and this "touchable" sculpture.

Kurt Persche mentioned about his creation that "through the magnetic, playful, and charismatic nature of the RedBall the work is able to access the imagination embedded in all of us.”.

 

Perschke has completed commissions for several institutions including “The Museum of Contemporary Art Barcelona”, “The Vienna Technical Museum”, and “The Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis”.

 

Kurt Perschke’s Redball project has been in the major cities such as Chicago, Portland, Sidney, Taipei, Toronto and the project has recently been moved in the United Kingdom’s streets.
