iPhone 6 Concept Features Sharp Corners, Nano Design [PHOTOS] (Release Date, Specs Rumors)
The iPhone 6 will probably not end up taking any design cues from the latest concept to emerge, but the render is certainly one of the more interesting takes you will see.
Concept designer Martin Hajek and iCulture have created a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 model, which builds off of recent rumors that the next-generation Apple smartphone will have a design similar to the seventh-generation iPod Nano and iPhone 5C. Though the report focused on the Nano's colored anodized aluminum backing, the designer also decided to give the upcoming iPhone a square body with sharp corners—or unlike any iPhone we've ever seen.
While it may seem completely unlike Apple, as BGR notes, a recent patent for a fourth-generation iPod Nano-like iPhone design has been awarded to the Cupertino-based company, so I guess you never know.

The iPhone 6 will get a release date this fall, but consumers will only be able to get their hands on one of the two rumored models, according to UBS analyst Steve Milunovich.
In a new research note, Milunovich—who monitors Apple supply chains—reports that the 4.7-inch sixth-generation iPhone version will release either in August or September, while its 5.5-inch companion "may or may not launch at the same time." He also makes an interesting specs claim—the models will pack the same resolution despite the display size differences, meaning the 5.5-inch model will carry a smaller pixel per inch (ppi) count. As Gotta Be Mobile notes, this will make the job easier for app developers with the new screen sizes.
Milunovich also told CNBC that the iPhone 6 price may not increase, meaning a lower margin for Apple, but an added incentive for consumers looking to upgrade. Previous reports have suggested the iPhone 6's arrival could result in the "mother" of all upgrade cycles.
New alleged iPhone 6 specs details have also surfaced via trusted leaker Sonny Dickson.
The latest rumors suggest that the next-gen Apple smartphone will come packed with a thinner body, more powerful processor and better display.
According to Dickson, the iPhone 6 will be 0.22 inches thick, which measures to measurement to about 5.59mm. As NDTV notes, the measurement would mean the iPhone 6 will be just 0.04mm thicker than the Gionee Elife S5.5, which claims to be the thinnest handset in the world.
He also noted that the smartphone will pack an Ultra-Retina screen of 389 pixels per inch (ppi). He also offered details on the sixth-generation's chipset:
