'Man Of Steel 2' Batman Costume Revealed In PHOTO Leak? Jen Garner Worried About Affleck's Cape
Batman vs. Superman filming has officially kicked off in Michigan, but the biggest news about the upcoming Man of Steel sequel may be with a grainy photo rumored to be Ben Affleck's Batman (does anyone else think this is starting to take on a Loch Ness Monster vibe?).
A suspect, but noteworthy, photo recently surfaced on IMDb forums and has since circulated through various media outlets as a possible shot of Affleck as Batman. Though it is noted that Warner Bros. would have likely squashed this image if it was real, the photo at least offers an idea of what the Jim Lee-inspired Batman could look like. According to ComicBookMovie, the image first originated on Instagram and appears to be "a photo of a photo," which makes it difficult to tell if its is legit.

Speaking of Affleck's Batman, the actor's wife, Jennifer Garner, has recently expressed her (half-serious) worries about the size of Batman's cape.
"I have seen photos of Ben as Batman. I haven't seen the real thing yet, but I have a feeling the cape will take up too much room in our closet and shove all my things out of the way!" she joked in an interview British magazine Glamour.
Garner previously commented that she thinks the costume is a bit tight-fitting, but added that it was "incredibly cool."
Fans have been anxiously awaiting the official reveals of the Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman suits (which were recently tried out by director Zack Snyder, except for the Wonder Woman costume, of course), and according to previous comments from Fortune's Mark Hughes, the costumes could be unveiled sometime in March.
"FYI I'm hearing the bat-suit reveal is likely pushed back a bit due to the delay in filming. That's not confirmed, but I trust the info...," Hughes tweeted in February.
He added that the anticipation and extra thought put into the introduction of the suit should leave fans impressed:
"The upside is, the reveal sounds like it'll be bigger & cooler than previously thought!," he said.
Another Affeck associate, Matt Damon, recently told MTV News at the Monuments Men red carpet that he has seen a photo of his buddy in the costume and came away very impressed, adding that he also gives a thumbs-up for what he knows about the film's story line.
"I've seen a picture," he said. "I have seen a picture. It's excellent. And I've talked to him about the story line, and it's great."
Damon added that while the thousands of "Batfleck" haters dissed the cast choice—including actor Seth Green—he wasn't one of them and would have no issue telling Affleck if he thought taking on the role was a mistake.
"Look, I've known him for thirty-something years," Damon said. "I'd be the first guy being like, 'Buddy, what are you doing?' But I think the movie is going to be great."
