Selena Gomez DRUNK At Vanity Fair Oscar After-Party Despite Recently Leaving Rehab PHOTO: Singer's Academy Award Debauchery
Selena Gomez was drunk at the Vanity Fair post-Oscar bash despite recently leaving rehab.
Gomez checked into the Dawn at the Meadows recovery facility in Arizona in early January and checked out after two weeks. It appears that the stint was simply a breather in preparation for a new party circuit, however.
At the Vanity Fair party, Gomez drank excessively, slurred her words and stumbled aimlessly through the star-studded crowd.
"Selena was drinking constantly throughout the entire party when I saw her," a source told Radar.
By the end of the night Gomez was so drunk that she nearly collapsed.
"She was having a grand old time and towards the tail end she was stumbling in her heels and almost toppled right over!" the source said.
Gomez engaged in the debauchery with her best friend Vanessa Hudgens; the duo took several glossy eyed photos of themselves as they mingled with the movie stars.
"Selena and Vanessa were just having a really good time, laughing and taking pics," the source revealed.
Gomez' drink of choice was champagne and light liquor. The witness was unable to identify the exact type of alcohol the pop star was drinking.
According to Radar, "The source tells Radar that Gomez drank champagne and other light liquors that could have been vodka or gin."
Gomez is more than familiar with alcohol; the "Come and Get it" singer was reportedly in terrible shape before she went to rehab.
"Poor Selena tried to put on a brave face, but it became clear she was struggling," a source said. "In the end, she decided to go for treatment."
Gomez' drug and alcohol abuse was initiated by Justin Bieber. It was at her ex-boyfriend's house that Gomez first smoked marijuana.
"She finally gave into pressure and started smoking weed with Justin," the source told Star Magazine. "His house was the first place she tried it."
Bieber, who is facing DUI charges in Miami, recently proclaimed that Gomez is the "Most elegant princess in the world."
